If there are aromatic components in kerosene, which makes the oil color darker and smells strong, how to deal with it?
Method 1: Sulfonation method
Steps: Use concentrated sulfuric acid with a concentration of 96%-98%, add it to the oil, and heat it to about 35°C; then add 0.1% sodium hydroxide.
Features: 1. The removal rate is not high
2. The waste liquid generated is not suitable for treatment and pollutes the environment.
3. Concentrated sulfuric acid easily corrodes equipment.
This process has been gradually eliminated. I will share another method next time. #kerosene #aromatic #oilrefinery #OilPurification #sulfonation #oilbleaching
